UNIVERSITY WORKSHOPS FOR TRANSLATORS AND INTERPRETERS

Your students know how to translate.

Do they also know how to start their own business?

The translation market has changed fast: word of mouth is no longer enough, artificial intelligence has reshaped expectations, and new professionals need to build their presence from day one.

Yet calculating a rate, writing a professional quote, or setting up an effective LinkedIn profile rarely make it into the curriculum.

These practical workshops are designed to bridge the gap between academic training and the real market.

I have gathered everything I wish I had known when I started.

Every session is built around your students’ real questions: before the workshop, participants fill in a questionnaire — and that’s where we start.

WHAT I BRING TO THE CLASSROOM

During my university years, nobody taught me how to find clients, network or build a professional presence.

My professors were excellent — experienced professionals who had built their careers over decades.
But that market kept changing.

I found myself lost, not knowing where to start.

So I did what I had always done: I studied.
Marketing, personal branding, artificial intelligence.

I discovered there was work out there for what I had studied — I just needed to know how to find it.

Today I work as a freelance translator and interpreter, navigating the same market changes your students will face.

I don’t speak from the past: I speak from the present.

  • Direct, up-to-date experience
  • Social media manager at AITI (Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters)
  • Founder of the first international community for Dutch language students
  • Every session is built around your students’ real questions

My mission?
That no translator or interpreter leaves university thinking there is no work for them.
